QUALITY CONTROL

All TLA processes are procedural and quality-controlled, from raw materials and tubes to intermediate processes and all auxiliary services, from coil or tube cutting to logistics.

PRODUCTION LINE TESTING:

Production line testing:

Eddy current for 100% of production.

Dimensional tests.

Destructive tests (crushing, widening, flaring).

Continuous analysis of the geometry in the welding area.

LABORATORY TEST:

Dimensional tests.

Tensile tests.

Surface hardness (if required).

Roughness (if required).

CERTIFICATIONS

TLA is ISO 9001 certified for all products and services as well as IATF 16949:2016 certified for the manufacture of welded tubes as well as for the slitting of coils.

Stainless steel tubing is manufactured in accordance with EN 10296-2 for round tubing while precision shaped tubing is manufactured in accordance with EN 10305-5 dimensional characteristics.

The tube intended for body making use is manufactured according to the tolerances and dimensions of EN 10219-2.

Carbon steel tube is manufactured in accordance with EN 10305-3 for round tubes and EN 10305-5 for shaped tubes.

Products manufactured at TLA are issued with certificate type 3.1 according to EN 10204.

SKILLED WORKFORCE

The high degree of versatility of the production staff and the parameterisation of the production processes at TLA allows us to commit ourselves to the most demanding specifications and technical requirements on a permanent basis.

The tube manufacturing process in both production lines has continuous in-line controls such as temperature controls with pyrometer and 3D Xiris® inspection system for welding by laser vision that allows us to detect and correct defects in the welding area at the very instant they are detected. Also with 100% eddy current product control

In each production line, but off line, the tube is subjected to dimensional and destructive controls – crushing, flaring and expansion both at room temperature and in more demanding conditions in the case of ferritic tube (at -20°C) – which ensure the correct quality of the weld.

In addition to these controls, laboratory tests are carried out where mechanical tensile tests are performed on the tube, as well as hardness and metallographic tests.
